Kirstin Gleason, NP

Kirstin Gleason

Kirstin has been with Work Health since the beginning of 2019 but has been practicing for over 6 years.  She earned her Nurse Practitioner degree at Gannon University in Erie, PA and has a B.S. in Biology and an A.S. in Biochemistry.  Not only is she a Certified NP but has been a Paramedic and Fire fighter for 23 years.  Kirsten is a certified DOT medical examiner.  She is from Chautauqua, New York but fell in love with Maine when her family vacationed here and was blessed with the ability to move to Maine.  She loves to read, hike and go adventuring with her family.  You can find Kirstin working at our Bangor clinic. 

Marshall Hollinger, NP

Marshall Hollinger

Marshall Hollinger has been with Work Health since mid-March of 2019 and works in our newest clinic, located in Waterville, ME.   He became a Certified Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP (American Academy of Nurse Practitioners) in 2007 and has been practicing as an RN (registered nurse) since 1994.   He has 2 bachelor’s degrees in Business and Nursing and 2 master’s degrees in Business Administration and Nursing.  He was born in West Virginia and has worked there and in New Mexico, spending the most recent 20 years in Ohio.  He owns 3 dachshunds and he and his wife of 35 years are enjoying the opportunity to explore Maine. 

Robert Hunt, PA-C

Robert Hunt

Bob has been with Work Health since 2017.  His diverse background in Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist service, Walk in Clinics, Urology, and Family practice spans more than 20 years and contributes greatly to our Presque Isle clinic.  He is currently a Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMSCA) Certified Medical Examiner.  Bob grew up in Fairfield, Maine attending school there until the 7th grade. 

Howard Jones, MD, MPH

Howard Jones

Dr. Howard Jones has been with Northern Light Health for about 8 years and has been with Work Health since its inception.  Dr. Jones attended medical and undergraduate school at University of South Florida in Tampa, residency at Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York where he also obtained a Master's in Public Health. He is also board certified in both Internal and Occupational Medicine. 

He moved to Maine in 1998, where he practiced Internal Medicine in Stockton Springs until he joined Northern Light Health. He serves as an internist, occupational medicine physician, medical review officer, and Aerospace medicine specialist in the Maine Air National Guard.  Dr. Jones is a certified course director with NIOSH for spirometry, and a Medical Review Officer (MRO). He is also certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Wilderness medicine. He likes to do anything outside, particularly if it involves the water.  It doesn't matter if the water is liquid or frozen, sailing in the summer and skiing in the winter.  He also loves to take very long walks as well as play the drums in several bands.

Nicole Kane, NP

Nicole Kane

Nicole has been with Work Health since February of 2019.  She has been an RN (Registered Nurse) for 19 years and an FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) since 2011.  She holds certifications as an RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assist) and is an AANP board certification family nurse practitioner.  She was born in Rhode Island and moved to Greenville in 1987.  She attended UMaine Orono to earn her BSN and received her master’s degree from Husson.  She currently lives in the Presque Isle area and loves to enjoy all four seasons of outdoor activities including; camping, skiing, snowmobiling, and hiking. 

Thomas Luna, MD, MPH, FACOEM, FAsMA

Thomas Luna

Dr. Luna has been with Work Health since 2017, working at our Portland clinic. He attended college at the University of Vermont and medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, in Bethesda, Maryland. He earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston.  He has been practicing both aerospace medicine and occupational medicine since 1990.  He completed residencies in both aerospace and occupational medicine at the U. S. Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine while he served in the Air Force. While there he became board certified in aerospace medicine in 1996 and in occupational medicine one year later, in 1997.

As a military flight surgeon, he accumulated over 1250 flying hours in over 18 different aircraft, including bombers, fighters, helicopters, trainers, tankers, transports and reconnaissance aircraft. He says, “My most memorable flight was in a U2, up to operational altitude, seeing the curvature of the earth and stars breaking through the darkening sky above me.” He runs, sometimes bikes, to/from the clinic. He also enjoys backpacking, Nordic skiing, canoe/kayak camping and making music.

Thomas Robinson, PA-C

Thomas Robinson

Tom Robinson has been working with us since 2014 and has been a practicing Physician Assistant for 40 years.  He considers his specialty as Occupational Medicine but has also practiced surgery and emergency medicine.  He received his Bachelor of Science in environmental conservation from the University of New Hampshire and then went to PA school at Bowman Gray School of Medicine in North Carolina.  After that he did a PA surgical residency in Baltimore, Maryland.  He is nationally certified as a PA through the NCCPA (National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants) and is a DOT certified medical examiner.  He is certified for spirometry and audiometric testing and is a CPR instructor. 

Tom works primarily in the Bangor offices, splitting his time between the State Street and Union Street office, but has covered at all our clinics.  He also is the assistant Chief of Newburg Rescue.  Although he grew up in Massachusetts, after his schooling and residencies he ended up here in Maine where he enjoys reading, being outside, photography, but mostly just spending time with his wife.    Tom feels that his main purpose in life is to spread kindness, peace, and a touch of humor.

Elizabeth Ross, FNP-C

Elizabeth “Liz” Ross has been an occupational health provider for six years.  She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maine and started working at Northern Light Sebasticook Valley Hospital after graduation in the medical surgical unit for 6 months before transferring to the surgical services department where she found her passion for OR nursing.  She obtained her RNFA (Registered Nurse First Assistant) certification and then in 2010 completed her master’s degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Maine.  She started her FNP career at a Wal-Mart walk-in clinic which was operated by Sebasticook Valley Hospital and then moved into the occupational health arena shortly after that.  She enjoys going to camp and spending time with her husband and two sons.
